I saw an ad on Quikr regarding selling of keyboards. I have shown interest and the very next day a FRAUD person sent me a whatsapp message informing that he is from Pure Discount Store, which is a well know shop in Florida. He has sent some pictures of Korg and Yamaha keyboards and told me that Korg Kronos2 is available with them. I asked him about the price and he told me that he could sell it to me at INR 47000 (mind it the actual price is over 2.5 lacs). I was really excited and asked him whether he can sell it to me for INR 35000 and surprisingly he agreed and said if I pay the advance amount of INR 3000 instantly they will ship the product. I took a risk and paid the amount via PayTm. They confirmed that the order has been booked and I was told that I would get the keyboard within 2 days of time. But after a few hours the person again sent me a message asking me for another 3000INR and told me that this money is needed to make preparation for the shipment. I dont know how I fell into their trap and I again paid the amount via PayTm. The person then told me that everything is fine and he sent me some invoice through chat and to my email (which is a total FAKE invoice I later realized). The next morning the person repeatedly asked me to check the tracking info...I kept on checking and at one point they said that the keyboard is seized in Pakistan and they will require 15000 from me to clear the customs. I got furious and had a round of fiery conversations with the person. I denied to pay and asked them to clear the customs duty as this was not conveyed to me before. According to the deal, the person said I need to pay an advance of INR3000 and then the rest of the amount should be paid when the delivery boy delivers the product at my doorsteps. I argued on this logic with the person and finally he told that he will clear the customs duty. He confirmed me after some time that the customs duty is cleared and assured me about the delivery on the very next day. Now, the morning it is supposed to get delivered, I started to get several messages from the person. He said that the package has arrived and Mumbai airport and this time the customs duty will be INR 5000 which I have to pay. I denied again but the person continued arguing with me illogically and told me that I will never get my keyboard if I dont clear the customs duty. I had a doubt from the beginning that this service could be a total FRAUD business and it came true. This person has cheated me like anything. He has eaten up my INR 6000 and then started calling me arrogant as I denied to pay the customs duty.
I would request you, if you can help me in this regard. I really want to get back my money. Could you please let me know how to track them and if there is a way I can teach them a lesson.
