This man called himself as Ajay Das, having 15 years of experience in restaurant and Hotel industry making false promises to restaurant owners. He promised to work as a cook in my newly opened restaurant yet asked an advance money of Rs. 1,500/- for travel expense from Howrah, West Bengal to Bengaluru. The very next moment, in between our telephonic conversation when he figured out that I was also looking for a helper, he assures to bring along a helper, for which he asked advance of R. 1,500/-, total of Rs. 3000/- After negotiation, at the end of the conversation, I had decided to send him a total of Rs. 2000/- to which he agreed upon. The very next, thru google pay to his bank account I transferred Rs 2000/-.
However, I received a call from him the next day asking again for a total sum of Rs. 2000/-. To this, he explained, "Sir, I cannot book a Sleeper ticket as the waitlist is outnumbered and I am allowed to book only in AC 3rd Tier coach." Trusting him, I sent him Rs 2000/- once again. I sent a total of Rs. 4000/-.
I haven't trusted him blindly like that. I have asked for his Aadhaar Card, I even video called him, to which he answered unhesitatingly. He has all the information relevant to train timings, ticket prices, how online tatkal booking is difficult. I even told him that I will book a tatkal ticket for him, but he responded saying, It's impossible. He claims himself as an experienced cook with many years of experience in Bhutan.
At the end, he is nothing but a fraud. He stopped picking up my call, stopped responding to my WhatsApp. But funnily enough that he didn't block my number right away after the transfer of the money.
I dunno, whether this is the guy in the Aadhaar. D.O.B shown in Aadhaar is: 01/01/1983. I doubt this is his actual D.O.B. or not.
