Army man looking house for rental house - scam

I had placed adv on various sites to rent out my flat in Bangalore.

A person with the name of Deepak Bajrang Pawar army personnel, reached out to me for renting my flat. He said he has been transferred from Delhi to Bangalore, would like to move in within 10 days. 

He was ready to pay advance without even seeing the house, asking for bank account details to make the advance payment. After receiving the payment I must block the house for him. 

 I looked at the army base in Bangalore he mentioned and told him that this office and my flat are faraway from each other and he can find good houses near the army base itself. But he insisted that he liked my house and wants to take it for rent. 

He sent his Aadhar no 3709 7848 6547,Pan CWKPP9427L , canteen card no LA04051342134900D00 & ID no 141928, family photo etc. He asked for my details to advance make payment of 10,000, details like my google pay account or bank account details etc. 

 I got doubt, so, though of playing little bit with him. So, told him that I have no google pay, no online banking. He has to pay cash or send me DD by courier. Then he asked me for DD and courier charges/expenses. I told him to deduct Rs. 1000 for DD and Courier charges and send me DD for Rs. 9000. His reply was, you send me 1000 for the expenses first and then I'll send you the DD. ha ha ha...... funny.

 

I played with him little longer. Told him that as a house owner I provide free insurance to the tenant and his family. While they live in my house if anything happens, insurance benefits will go to the tenants family. So, asked for his wife's adhar and PAN... he responsed back "Do you want to rent out your flat or not"....I guess he got mad....that's what I was trying anyway. 

 

After some more conversation we went offline.

The exact same person contacted me today 29th December 2022, saying he is shifting to PUNE. And he is from the army and wants to purchase my flat. And without actually seeing the flat he wants to buy it and he is going to pay the token amount and he will be making full cash payment. All this was unbelievable. Then he started calling me asking to give my ID proof and bank account details so that he can make a down payment. I found this suspicious and told him to give me time, he started chasing me after every few minutes and saying he is in hurry. He sent me his adhar card: 3709 7848 6547, PAN card: CWKP9427L, and also sent his family’s photo – his photo with his wife and two kids.

Fortunately, I investigated his adhar card number and found that there is already a complaint made on this portal. The same adhar card and name were mentioned. And just three weeks ago he was looking for a flat in Bangalore and now he is looking for a flat in Pune which is very suspicious.

I did not give him my bank details and told him that I am not going sale this flat to him after that too he repeatedly called me. He called me from phone number: 9053758536.

   The same person has called me today and did the same thing about my property for sale, kindly be attention about these fraudster's don't entertain these guy's.

Hi, the same person contacted me today, 23 March 2023. He said payment will come from central gov. I got doubt and checked his name and ID online. Found this complaint. Thank you. Saved me from a fraudster.

The same thing happened with my dad too. 
My dad got a call on March 23rd, and the same story: he wanted to buy the flat in NAGPUR.

I received a call yesterday night from the same person named Deepak Bajrang Pawar who was speaking in Hindi.

A Marathi person from Satara but can't speak Marathi was a first reason to be suspicious about him. He said he is staying in Jammu for past 8 years and that's why can't speak Marathi anymore, sheer lie. 

He didn't bargain for the rent or the deposit amount and that was another reason to be suspicious about. 

Wasn't willing to see the property at all was the third reason to be suspicious about. 

If anybody wants to buy/rent something & ready to pay more than a Lakh rupees, he/she would at least want to see it once.

Then I googled his details & govt conviction for him to be a fraud. Thanks to all the people who posted their experience with this fraudster.

Such fraud people should be hanged till death because they are misusing documents of the most respected entity, Indian Army for frauds.

I also have received a call today, shared same ID proofs and asking me to moving in baroda gujarat. He told by 20th June he will join office and moving with 5 family member. Asked about home more details about adhar card and other information.

He didn't bargain on rent or deposit and wanted to have agreement. That also without seeing the property.

So i searched for his details and found this thread. Checked id proof numbers and all are same.

he has also contacted me today itself and want account number to transfer the advance to block.

i have shared the number but immediately deleted the same and blocked him, thanks for this

Someone called me by the same details, also shared the same aadhar card, pancard, canteen card. Said has 2 children also and wants to shift immediately with 2 children. I had a doubt that's why immediately googled the aadhar card no and landed on this page. I immediately have blocked this person. I'm thank ful to this page who saved me today from a huge loss.

We also had an enquiry from Deepak Pawar on 25.06.23 with the same details of the ID CARD and PAN card, when scrolling through the face book we found out about the same person with such an past history.

We thank you all for the information provided and request ay concerned personnel to take action against these people cause imagine what happens when an elderly people are in this situation.

 Later ,he called my father and asked for the bank details like google pay details or phone pay details . just informed the same number has google pay and phone pay .Again in the evening called to my daddy  and informed that army accountant will speak with you and saying to open the  payment application and my father told to send through account and disconnected the call .

later i tried to call him not lifting the phone . Please be careful while giving the rentals and don't share the details Don't click on the unknown links

We also received a call from a guy claiming to be Deepak Pawar, not even within 2 to 3 hours of posting the ad for a house on rent. He transferred 5 Rs to our Paytm account and asked us to transfer 2 months advance rent saying CISF has transferred the money to Merchant Account and for us to receive the amount, we need to transfer the amount to their account number.  We got suspicious and did not go ahead with the transfer and later he called again and told him we're not interested. He got to know and immediately deleted all the messages he had sent on Whatsapp.

By seeing this and multiple messages on the net, they've been using the same identity for over 2-3 years now and still cops have not caught them !!

I tried calling at least 5 different Cyber Crime Cell numbers but all of them are either switched off, not in service or not being received !!!

Also tried to report an online crime through the cyber cell, but even that is not working.

Finding/getting anything back that seems completely lost used to be one of the things I always thought impossible or at least, extremely difficult. This same person is currently in my contacts with these 2 numbers 7869412343 & 9264977652 and also with wife number 8984212968 asking for my house on rent with same documents and name provided. He and his wife asked to Crack the deal and send him my gpay number to transfer sec deposit from central government. Here I thought there is some suspicious thing and checked this cyber crime post. Thank you for saving me from such fraud

This man pawar Deepak bajarang contacted me two days back for taking my house in kochi on rent, saying he is ASI in CISF being transferred to Kochi Airport and agreed all terms and conditions. But even without seeing the draft agreement he wanted to remit advance of Rs 50000. He sent me the same aadhaar card copy and CISF I'd card. When he was asking me to use my g pay account for transaction , I removed almost all the balance from my account and did whatever he said. But he couldn't get any money. He sent me Re1 to prove the genuineness. Finally when he couldn't get any money he asked me to remit some money to my account to clear the problem and do account transfer to his army accounts section account number in hdfc bank as he put it. Then I told him to go to hell and come to me after joining kochi on duty and pay only cash. Again after one hour he called and said that he tried to remit advance bu could not. I told I am not to give my hous to him and hung up.

His phone number is( to me) 8847852249 and aadhaar card number 370978486547. CISF I'd card number was152903.

Same person called me today & gave Aadhar , Pan & his employment card issued in 2012 CISF Card No 141928.. He called me from Phone 7735281932.Interestingly this person is willing to undergo police verification process also.  He is so confident in his profession ! I am wondering what our Cyber Crime Police are doing. Today I am saved thanks to google & the post of right thinking people.  He is also called in the name of Mr  Mukesh Kumar. Be aware & careful about these people who is committing fraud in the name of Army personal. Police need to take action & protect the reputation of our Army personnel. Army name is being misused & tarnished by this type of frauds. Magic Brick is promoting this person as a Bonus Lead ! I am wondering whether magic brick has any responsibility towards subscriber to its Residential Rental Packages.
