Hi, I got a call this morning from a person(7274087431) claiming to be from homeshop18 saying that I've won a lottery. Surprisingly enough he knew the details of my purchase with homeshop18 which took place in May. He also knew my home address and obviously my phone number too. I asked him to send me an official email regarding the 'lottery' which I seemed to have won. He then told me to call the customer care number of homeshop18 and gave me 18001203677 as the customer care number. That is NOT homeshop18's customer care number. I called the actual homeshop18' customer care number where I informed them about it and they said there were no such lottery going on. Then I called the number I was given where they said the same thing the person had said earlier. That I've won a Tata Safari and need to deposit registration charge of INR12,500. I expect the origin of the numbers to be traced and also an action against them. An action must also be taken against HomeShop18 as per Section 43A of the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008.
