I got a call from a lady presuming to be from SBI credit card division . She exactly knew i have got a new SBI credit card and its not activated. She pretended to activate the new credit card with IVR , the she switched the IVR to collect information from the card and perform transactions from card to Paytm , Mobiwik and Jio Money .
It happened so quickly that , i was unable to catch it. Suddenly i saw lot of massages for translations of 25,000 and 10,000 and 10,000 . I got a call from SBI credit card division and told them to block the card.
When I check that number using true caller . it was registered with name Rahul SBI credit card division .
The question is how do they get the exact information on the activation state of the credit card . They even know my date of birth and have sophisticated IVR system to collect the details.
