I got call today(19-Jun-2021) from +91 9871983054, the true caller notification was "Naukri refund Fraud" but i did't notice and received the call, She asked feedback on Nuakri service (3-months package which was purchased by me earlier), once i gave negative feedback, She explained that due to pandemic recruitment process has been slowdown, so they are Refunding or they can extend offer for one more month.
Since i thought that additional one more month is not going to help me, so i opted for refund.
She asked me the amount i had paid, i was not sure about exact amount so i told approx. 4000 plus, than she told refund amount will be Rs.3769.
When i told that please refund amount, she explained few details required and there is procedure for that i need to login Naukri portal. I told her that please call after 5mins so that i can login to Nuakri portal, for that she told you can login thru mobile only, but for refund we have other website/App.
They website is "WWW.Naukrirefunded.com" thru this told me to download the app.
FYI: 1. This website is not Secure and you wont get this by google search (but only thru URL)
2. You wont get App also in Play Store
During installation she told to allow access for message & photos.
and told me login thru my email id and password, since i was not sure about the password, i just tried thru one password which i remember, but it got logged in, I thought it was the correct password.
FYI: later when I cross checked with the Original Naukri portal, it was not a correct password. here we can make out that password is for namesake.
she was explaining me step by step procedure, once after entering the amount (Rs.3769), she told me to enter credit card details.
Until here was didn't hve any doubt, but now i asked her, for any refund amount you required A/C no and IFSC, but why credit card (with all details like Exp date & CVV) require?
for that she told you can opt any thing like Credit card, Debit Card or net banking.
FYI: They prefer Credit card only, because in Debit card/Net banking balance may be low or nill.
I argued with her for few minutes, may be she was not trained enough to handle this, she diverted call to her senior.
Senior also explained the same thing, i was damn sure that some thing is fishy here, i told her will get clarified once with Nuakri toll free no.
She still didn't give up, she kept on convincing me. I disconnected the call and called to Naukri toll free no and they confirmed that is was fraud call and collected that fraud call contact no.
Please be aware of such frauds.
FYI: Since I had given access for message & photos while app installation, I believe they can get OTP also.
