I have placed an order of rs16548 on 01 may 17 towards purchase of qty 03 centre tables vide order no:100009417. On placing order i received mail about the expected delivery date. However, it couldnt delivered in time. Further inquiring it was told that the items are under manufacturing stage and delivery will be delayed for one week.
The same state of delayed message received till 2 jun 17. On 2 jun, once i contacted, the customer care told me the same reason of manufacturing delay and he assured that items will be delivered by 08 jun 17. Also told that if it is not delivered on 08 jun, user can proceed for cancellation and refund of amount.
After this conversation, i received message at 1620h about cancellation of order and refund in process. This was done without informing me. As i contacted customer care with regard to the issue, they have informed about cancellation of order has been initiated at their own. Further asked about the refund of cash, they instructed me to send mail to company again for initiation of refund.
I being a commissioned officer of indian air force i would like to take up this matter on following points A. Why the user has to sent mail for initiation of refund action where it was done by the firm. As the company website says refund will be done within 48 hrs. B. What was the reason behind keeping money for more than a month in company account. C. If there is a delay in production that has to be cleared in advance and why the order was not cancelled at the first instance when it was known. Despite of this the website is still showing the place in their delivery options.
This type of companies are making profit by keeping the cash in account for 2 to 3 months and also making troubles to customers. Such kind of service and procedures need to be picked at the root level by appropriate authorities.
