On 19 th August morning around 11am, I got successive SMS from SBI card for 4 transactions of AUD 180, 180, 70 & 70. A fifth SMS from SBI stating that credit card has been blocked due to suspected activity.
I immediately called SBI customer care and reported these transactions as fraud and disputed them. Also I sent the TDF duly filled with all details. I got an acknowledgement email from them. But it states that it can take upto 120 days for the dispute to be settled and that I would need to pay the amount when it reflects in my next statement and they would adjust it when the dispute becomes successful. How is this fair? Would request SBI and other cyber crime cells involved to look into this ASAP..
